This 707 was damaged beyond repair when it made a hard landing in a rainstorm at Sahar International Airport in Bombay, India on 21 June 1982.

Seen at Luqa wearing small 'The Malta Airlines' underneath a logo set into in the cheatline. I am uncertain of the significance of this logo but it was later replaced by the Maltese Cross.

Built in 1954 as a Canberra B.2 serving with 207 Sqdn and 35 Sqdn. Became one of nine B.2s converted to a T.11 standard to train radar operators for Javelins and after a short spell at 228 OCU, the aircraft joined the Target Facilities Squadron at West Raynham which was renamed as 85 Sqdn in 1963 and moved to Binbrook. Modified once more to a T.19 and later flew with 7 Sqdn at St Mawgan before retirement in 1979. Sold to BAC for possible export sales, the aircraft was donated to the Newark Air Museum in 1985 and is current in their collection at the time of upload

During Konfrontasi, a conflict between Malaysia and Indonesia, allies of the UK and Malaysia were barred from Indonesia air space. RNZAF Canberras, accompanied by RNZAF Hastings, had to make a long diversion to reach their base at Tengah, Singapore. NZ6104 was lost on November 30, 1964 when it crashed at the China Rock bombing range near Singapore. Kwajalein is the base for US nuclear testing on Bikini Atoll. At the time of the photo Fletcher Jones and Staff was major national department store chain based in the Victorian regional town of Warrnambool. It has shrunk to three stores in 2021, all in Melbourne. VH-FJW crashed at Bankstown, NSW, on December 9, 1976 while making a single engine approach. .
