Delivered to the US Navy as Bu37257 on 9 Aug 1945. Stored at Litchfield Park, AZ on 30 Jan 1954, then sold as N7255C in 1957 and stored unused at Douglas-Bisbee, AZ. In 1974 its rear fuselage was exchanged with the damaged rear fuselage of N6856C c/n 15-1156. In Dec 1975 the now damaged aircraft was donated to the Pima museum, but remained stored at Douglas-Bisbee until it was trucked to the museum on 30 Mar 1982. There it was stored yet again until restoration finally began in 2003. During that process the aircraft was mistakenly painted as 32757 instead of 37257. As can be seen, the Navy blue has faded considerably over the past 20 years. A repaint would be a good opportunity to also correct the serial.

Ex US Navy Harpoon Bu37254, delivered in Nov 1945. Withdrawn from use Nov 1953 and stored at Litchfield Park, AZ. Struck off charge in Dec 1956, and sold as N7248C in Jan 1971. Converted as an agricultural sprayer in 1971 by Ralph Johnson and operated by him until sold in 1984, still as N7248C. Acquired by Hal Kaden's Southwest Aviation in May 1985 and still owned by him at the time of this photo, almost 40 years later. He reregistered it as N2PV in May 1986. This Harpoon has been stored at Las Cruses since at least 1994. Note traces of previous registration N7248C still visible on the fuselage.

This Harpoon was SoC by the USN in 1955, becoming N7459C in 1957 after storage at Litchfield Park, AZ. Operated as a fire bomber and later a crop sprayer. Ferried to the museum in 2000

To Aircraft Specialties at Mesa-Falcon Field in 1968 and converted to a sprayer then to Globe Air in 1981. Sold in 1987 and flown to Sonoma-Schellville, CA for storage. To the Italian Air Force Museum, Vigna di Valle AB, Italy in 1993. Moved to Piana delle Orme, Borgo Faiti, Latina in 2016 and painted in Italian Air Force markings as MM80074.

This aircraft went to Italy around 2006. Originally taken on strength by the USN as 37419 in 1945 and wfu in 1953, it was restored by 2017 to represent MM80074 during its service with 87° Gruppo at Catania-Fontanarossa.

Delivered to the US Navy as 37190. Stored at Litchfield Park, AZ in 1954. Sold as N6856C in 1957. Converted to a firebomber. Used by a number of operators. Crashed at Philipsburg PA while on a fire fighting mission in 1997.

In open storage at Johnson County Airport, still fitted with agricultural spray bars. Joined the US Navy in 1945 as BuNo 37472. Became N5223V in 1957. Re-registered N7670C in 1963, operating as a sprayer initially based in Arizona. Bought by Hirth Air Tankers in 1987. Conversion it to a firebomber was not followed through before John W. Hirth tragically died while firebombing and ownership passed to his wife in 1997. Sold at auction in 2005. Fitted with an upper turret and restored to flight in US Navy Aleutian Campaign markings as 37472 "Attu Warrior".

One of the well-known sprayer Harpoons from Mesa Falcon Field, AZ, which was moved into storage in Italy around 2006. Originally taken on strength by the USN as 37419 in 1945 and wfu in 1953, it was restored by 2017 to represent MM80074 during its service with 87° Gruppo at Catania-Fontanarossa airport, featuring a turret from a Martin Baltimore and a fabricated nose gun pack. Note correct US registration is also carried. The Italian AF operated 22 ASW Harpoons between 1953 and 1959, although they wanted P-2 Neptunes. All were scrapped following their replacement with Grumman Trackers.

Former US Navy bu 37462 is being slowly restored by the Central California Historical Military Museum.
