The Do 29 was an experimental aircraft developed by used to test a tilting-propeller system for STOL aircraft. Two examples of the Do 29 were built and a third was planned. This is the first prototype and it flew for the first time in December 1958, the tilting-propellor concept proving to be successful with a stalling speed of 24 kilometres per hour (15 mph) and exceptional short-field performance. Unfortunately, no further development of the system or aircraft took place and at the conclusion of its test program the Do 29 program was retired.

This An-2 was first noted with the NVA in July 1957. The plane was retired in April 1990 and transferred to a museum in Dresden. It was transferred to this museum around June 1998 and appears to be undergoing restoration (new coat of paint and previous reports note there was no tailplane).

This early Puma was later converted to SA.330J standard. The helicopter appears to be wearing the Sud-Aviation logo on the forward fuselage. Aérospatiale, created in 1970, initially used a similar logo but with elements of the Nord-Aviation logo. Photo from: US Air Force Systems Command / Wright State University
