Arrived 22nd February 1976 and still being re-assembled at the time of this shot. Last flight to Liverpool Speke on 12th April 1972 for preservation by the Viscount Preservation Trust. Security concerns resulted in the move to Duxford. Current in 2025 in BEA colours.

Returned to Aviation Hire January 1981 intially as A2-ABY, later ZS-JVY. Leased Royal Swazi National Airways January 1981 as 3D-ACV. Sold to United Air Services as ZS-JVY January 1983. To MMM Aero Services as 9Q-CVL July 1986. Withdrawn from use at Kinshasa March 1991 and broken up there. First flight 1st October 1953. Made its last flight into Southend from Cardiff 2 days prior to this photo on 17th June 1976. After some parting out it was finally scrapped in May 1979.

Taxying for departure on runway 24. Withdrawn from use at Teesside in 1982. Fuselage used as a fire trainer from 1986.

To BAF in 1981 then Euroair in 1984 as G-BLNB, BAF again in 1985. Re-registered G-OPFI in 1994 for Parcelforce operations. Sold 1999 as 3D-PFI, subsequently TU-VAB, 3D-PFI and 9Q-COD. Withdrawn Lubumbashi by 2011 and scrapped in 2014/5.

An old friend which I photographed many times during its life with British Midland, Manx and Gambia Air Shuttle. The titles of the last-mentioned operator are starting to show through on the left side. Moved to this site on N9 road between Eeklo and Ghent in 1992. Originally delivered to SAA as ZS-CDX at the end of 1958, a fine aircraft which appears to have remained in fairly good condition and would make a great candidate for restoration and preservation in an authentic livery some day

To British Air Ferries in 1984. Leased to Guernsey Airlines 1984 to 1986. WFU Southend 1992 and scrapped in 1994.

WFU in 1982 and used as a cabin services trainer at East Midlands. Transferred to the airport's Fire Service and finally scrapped in 1997.

Ex-South African Airways ZS-CDZ. WFU Teesside in 1982. Fuselage used as a fire trainer from 1986, still present in poor state in late 2004.
