Originally developed by Lockheed, the AL402 design was manufactured in small numbers in Mexico and Argentina (LASA-60) due to production costs. The design was later licensed to Aermacchi (and further developed) and South Africa's Atlas Aviation (building the CM4 Kudu). Some 180 aircraft were manufactured 1960-79. This particular 1967 AL-60F-5 Trojan was in Canada as C-GKDC for the period of 2004 - 16 before returning to the USA as N96038 again. It is current on the US registry at the time of uploading.

K25 slide scan. Delivered 1981. British Airways G-BOHZ 1988, stored 1992. Goa Way 1994, Executive Aerospace ZS-NNW 1998. Withdrawn Durban by 2001, subsequently scrapped. The then chairman of DLT had felt that a new image was needed so the new 748's arrived in a striking all red scheme. Business passengers however disagreed and the "red parrot bird" gave way to a sombre Lufthansa style livery after a very short time with only the first three aircraft being delivered in red. All were repainted within a year.

Former Irish Air Corps Vampire 186 getting some maintenance. The aircraft won first place in the jet race at Reno in 2015 wearing RAF warbird markings with fake serial WD186. The jet crashed at next year's race on September 16, 2016 when the aft section of canopy structurally failed and pieces were ingested into the engine. It crash landed wheels up in the desert near the Reno airport.

This early 727 was delivered to Eastern Airlines on October 7, 1964. Retired to Marana, AZ, it's future did not look good among the aircraft stored and being broken up when photographed. Sold to Monarch Aviation in September 1982 however, it would be put back together and converted to a freighter in December. It went on to fly in Australia, USA and South America before final retirement by LAS Lineas Aereas Suramericanas in 2006. It was broken up in Bogota, Colombia during 2007.
