T & G Aviation's tanker 32 getting ready for the 1982 fire season The airliner was originally Yngve Viking with SAS Scandinavian Airlines System delivered in 1957 (SE-CCF). Bought by aircraft broker Lee Mansdorf Company in 1962, it was registered N9734Z. Sergio Tomassoni (who formed T & G Aviation along with William Grantham in 1973) acquired N9734Z in 1976. Converted to a fire bomber in 1977, it was operated by T & G 1977 - 95. Registered in Spain to Basaer Baquero Servicios Aereos as EC- 889 (EC-GGC in 1996), it was stored at Cordoba airport in 2000 and later preserved in the city.
