Calair's D-ACIP is lining up on Riem's runway 07 on a summer day in 1971 (check the sightseeing bus in the background on the right). The Boeing 720 was noted at Riem on 31 July 1971, possibly the precise date for this shot.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-68819. Post-war conversion to DC-3A and to Svenska Kyrkans Missionsstyrelse as SE-APG Feb 1946 for missionary flights, later Nordiskt Missionsflyg. To AB Aerotransport July 19848, SAS from July 1949. To SNCSAO as F-BEIS January 1951, to French Air Force as 68819, to Brabier as F-BRGI November 1972, to Yugoslav Air Force as 71237, to YU-ABW November 1979. Then it gets interesting. Sold to Atlas Aircraft in Miami, FL as N8071Z and stored at Riem. In March 1981 she was registered 9Q-CYI and flown to South Africa bypassing the UN embargo on the country and given the SAAF serial 6875. This is the second 6875, the first was written off in 1964. slide from Norbert Kröpfl. - Taken a few days after delivery, the first business jet of BAUHAUS visited the old Munich Riem airport from its base Mannheim. The Citation remained on the German register until 1979; it was sold and finally operated as PT-OJF. As such it was retired and reported in storage at Mojave CA in 2008.

Between 1979 and 2001 this Citation 551 was on the German aircraft register; here it is shown in a later colour scheme. - The aircraft was sold as N13VP and had an accident at Wiley Post airport in May 2002; it was wfu thereafter.

D-IKAN was registered in Germany for just over one year in 1976/77 and became OY-ARP thereafter. The final reg of this Citation (N98Q) was cancelled in 2023.

Quite rare, a Piper PA-18 in full airline colours! - I-MIGO was built in 1974; in 2025, the plane flew as I-ARUS.

slide scan from the NK collection. - In its first year of operation for Amway Corp, BAC 1-11 N523AC still showed the colours of its previous private owner, when it was registered as N5LC. The plane was converted ex Braniff to VIP standard and flew for Amway until 1991.
