Ex-RCAF 1564. Joined Capital Air Surveys in 1973. Seen here with CF-DTN and CF-SUQ. All three aircraft arrived at Prestwick on the same day on their way back to Canada from Algeria. After reporting in to the Main Terminal, they were taxied round to the General Aviation Area where they were parked and where they remained - impounded ! Their company was in business difficulties, being dissolved for non- compliance in 1985. They eventually became G-BKGL/M/N. Sadly, CF-QPD, as G-BKGL, was written off in a crash landing in France on 16 September 2021.

Ex-RCAF 1500. One of three Capital Air Surveys Beech 18s arriving at Prestwick on the same day, on their way back to Canada from Algeria. After reporting in at the Main Terminal, the aircraft were taxied round to the General Aviation Area where they were parked side by side, and where they remained - impounded ! Their company was in business difficulties, eventually being dissolved for non-compliance in 1985. The other aircraft were CF-QPD and CF-SUQ. This one became G-BKRN.

Arriving in Vancouver by trailer, this Transwest Helicopters Hughes H369HS was fighting fires on August 21, 1981 near Birkin, BC. Returning to refuel, the pilot twice found the refueling area busy. Checking the fuel gauge, it was decided to do another water drop each time, but the engine flamed out on the last one. During the autorotation to land, power lines had to be avoided and the rotor rpm decayed, resulting in a heavy landing. The helicopter (remains?) were sold in the USA as N2685Y with that registration cancelled in September 1988.

Delivered to United Airlines in 1953, this Convair worked the 50s as an airliner and into the 60s and 70s as a corporate aircraft. In 1974 , Innotech Aviation modified the aircraft with high resolution radar for the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing. It would work over 35 years developing synthetic aperture radars and other remote sensors for Canada and other worldwide projects. After retiring, the aircraft became part of the Canada Space and Aviation Museum collection in 2015.

This early DC-9 was delivered to Trans World Airlines in April 1966. Texas International first leased it from September 1974 - December 1975. After returning the aircraft to TWA, they bought it in September 1977. When Texas International merged with Continental Airlines in 1982, it was registered N654TX. Going to Colombia to Intercontinental de Aviación S.A. (HK-3832X) in March 1993, the airliner was last with Aerocaribe in Mexico registered XA-SSW from July 1994 until stored at Mexico City in January 2002. It was later scrapped.
