A five-engined Super VC10?? On final approach to Runway 13 at Prestwick flying a transatlantic service. Fitted with a pod to carry a spare engine under the starboard wing. These temporary pods were used to ferry replacement engines to locations abroad should the need arise for an unscheduled engine change on an overseas service. Delivered new to BOAC in 1958. Transferred to British Airways in 1974. Withdrawn from use in 1981. After many years in storage, eventually became ZD241 Vickers VC10 K4 tanker/transport with the RAF.
