Ex-RCAF 1500. One of three Capital Air Surveys Beech 18s arriving at Prestwick on the same day, on their way back to Canada from Algeria. After reporting in at the Main Terminal, the aircraft were taxied round to the General Aviation Area where they were parked side by side, and where they remained - impounded ! Their company was in business difficulties, eventually being dissolved for non-compliance in 1985. The other aircraft were CF-QPD and CF-SUQ. This one became G-BKRN.

Capital Air Surveys of Ottawa operated this ex-RCAF Beech 3N from 1969. It had a chequered career during which it got impounded at Preswick on the way back from Algeria in 1981. Having been abandoned to its fate it ended up on the UK register as G-BKRN and has been restored to represent a US Navy UC-45J.
