Assigned to Detection and Control Squadron "Berry" (EDCA 01-036). Wearing a special c/s to celebrate at this time 56,000 flight hours. The tail shows the BR 257 flight badge "Masse d'armes" (plague of weapons).
The only French Air Force Transall painted in desert camo scheme and based in Dakar, Sénégal within overseas transport squadron "Ouessant" (ETOM 00-055). Previously used by Air France for Air mail duties, this aircraft came back to French Air Force inventory in 1984. Wfu in 1998.
