Arriving Fornebu in the November failing light, SE-DAW was delivered new to SAS in September 1974 serving with the airline until January 2001. Later to N329FV and scrapped at Roswell, NM during around 2006-2007.

First flight November 4th 1974, and delivered new to SAS November 22nd 1974 as OY-KGP "Torbern Viking" and as one of the last DC-9-41s delivered that year to replace Caravelles and DC-9-21 on domestic flights with config Y122. 1984 repainted to the new SAS colours as seen on this photo 14 years later.. July 22nd wfu and stored at at ENGM. August 21st 2002 N41XS rr and stored at Roswell, broken up there in 2003. Seen after purshback from gate 28, LN-TUB is seen at gate 27, LN-RMN at gate 25, LN-BUG at gate 23 and LN-BRQ at gate 21. Busy morning ca 9am as ususal the day before FBU was closed.

November 1st 1983 OH-LNF Finnair (returned). June 1996 wfu. April 1998 LV-PNP Dinar Lineas Aéreas. December 12th 1998 LV-YNA rr. November 2002 wfu and stored at Buenos Aires. Broken up there in 2007. SAS held a retirement party for the DC-9 Classic fleet in the large DC-9 maintenance hangar at Oslo Airport on 16 January 2002. The centerpiece of the party was OY-KGR [i]Holger Viking[/i] repainted in the latest SAS livery. When the crowd arrived, crew members showed up in all uniforms used on the DC-9 fleet from 1969 to 2002. It was a sad day for all DC-9 Classic enthusiast inside and outside the airline.

February 1985 OH-LNE for Finnair (one of 6 DC-9-41s to replace DC-9-10s and Caravelles in the fleet). April 1996 N131NK Spirit Airlines, June 2001 LV-ZXY Dinard Lineas Aereas (leased), May 2002 back to Spirit as N131NK. May 2003 wfu and stored at Tucson. August 28th 2007 N131NK Jetran LLC. June 27th 2017 wfu after more than 40 years of flying.

Delivered new to TOA Domestic Airlines on 10 Apr 1974 as JA8425. Sold to Finnair as OH-LNE on 15 Feb 1982. To Spirit Airlines as N131NK on 19 Apr 1996. Leased to Dinar as LV-ZXY between 13 Jun 2001 and 22 May 2002. WFU 01 May 2003 and stored Fort Worth and then at Tucson. Registration cancelled on 21 Jun 2017. Scrapped.
