Early basic bare metal livery

Previously the 'Museu de Armas, Vehiculos, Motorizados e Aviones Antigos 'Eduardo Andrea Matarazzo'. The founder died in 2002 and the museum is currently run by the City of Bebedouro. Sadly, many of the exhibits, especially the larger aircraft on external display, some of which have significant historical significance to Brazilian aviation, have suffered from long term lack of funding to keep them in good order. Ex 44-29500, the B-25 has been at the museum since the late 1970s.

Delivered to the USAAF in July 1942 as 42-15875, then to KLM West Indisch Bedrijf (later called ALM), named "Ala Blanca"as PJ-ALA 29 July 1945. On 6 February 1960 to HP-309, later HP-729, HI-445 and finally N90079. Destroyed by Hurricane Charley at Kissimmee in 2004 and US marks were cancelled on 31 January 2005.

Having previously flown with the titles of National Airports Authority (India), this Dakota is now owned by Mr. Diljeet Titus, a lawyer by profession and a passionate collector of vintage items including cars and aircraft. The aircraft started its life as a as C-47A-50-DL [C/No MSN 10178] built by Douglas. Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-24316 for operations in the Second World War. A data plate within the aircraft exists on the acceptance of this airframe by the USAAF on 2 September 1943.

On display on the flight deck of CV-10 USS Yorktown at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. Normally two fixed wing ASW squadrons were embarked on a CVS, with requirements subsequently changing for the CVA and CV. This S-2E belongs to VS-23 "Black Cats" which did three Vietnam deployments aboard USS Yorktown. Along with VS-25 "Golden Eagles" also flying the Tracker, the two fixed wing ASW units with tail code 'NU' flew under CVSG-55 that was operational till 27 Sep 1968. The 70 million candlepower searchlight is visible on the starboard wing. This variant had 16 JEZEBEL sonobuoys / nacelle.

This aircraft was sold to Czech owners and brought to the Czech Republic in the early 2000s but has not been flown since or put on the Czech civil register.

Fantastic to see a, commercially, flying Convair in 2025. The aircraft arrived from Opa Locka to pick up some cargo bound for Nassau, Bahamas.
