On display next to CVS-11 USS Intrepid. 'Alpha Delta' has several distinctions including the fastest transatlantic crossing by a passenger jet in just 2:52:59 from JFK to LHR that still stands. The landmark was achieved by Capt Leslie Scott, Sr F/O Tim Orchard and Sr E/O Rick Eades on 7 Feb 1996 taking advantage of the jet stream, planning the deceleration close to LHR and co-operation of Heathrow ATC. It was the only BA Concorde to have worn the dual livery of British Airways and Singapore Airlines from 12/77 to 10/80. It also has logged 23,297h 25min, the most any Concorde has flown.

Suspended in the Golden Age of Flight Hall at NASM. This homebuilt racer with a Continental C-85 engine was designed by Steve Wittman. Originally named "Chief Oshkosh," it was heavily modified and renamed "Buster." It had a long racing career from 1931-54 in the National Air Races and other events, usually finishing in the top five in its class. The aircraft was displayed in Building 24 at Silver Hill before moving to the Mall. Wittman designed several aircraft during his career, being inducted posthumously in the National Aviation Hall of Fame. Oshkosh Airport was renamed in his honor.

The 'schoolbus' has Snoopy characters across the left side of the fuselage and tail. The type was designed by Al Mooney as a utility aircraft, but Lockheed could not build it at an economic cost in the USA. The aircraft was licence-built in Mexico, Argentina, Italy and South Africa. Around 180 were built in all.
