Delivered to ARAMCO as CV340-31 N726A in 1952. Converted to a CV440. To General Dynamics as N7262 and converted to a CV640 in 1966. To Pacific Western Airlines as CF-PWT in 1967 then to Worldways Airlines as C-FPWT in 1976. To Wright Airlines as N2691W in 1982 and reregistered as N862FW in 1983. Sold in 1985. Being refurbished for Canada West Air as C-GCWE when the photo was taken. To Gambcrest as N862FW in 1990. Destroyed in a fatal crash on approach to Cap Skirring, Senegal in 1992.

One of a pair of Convairs bought from Pacific Western Airlines in 1976 for Worldways' charter business. Both were sister ships originally delivered to the Arabian American Oil Company in 1952 and were sold to Wright Airlines in 1982.

This aircraft crashed near Diouloulou, Senegal on 9 February 1992 when the crew mistook the lights of a hotel for the airport approach lights.
