6 Mar '44: TOS USAAF. D-Day: Was lead aircraft for the invasion, dropping paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division at 0048. Hit by Flak. Returned to England, repaired Flak damage, then made 2nd mission in the evening, delivering a glider load of troops and equipment. 1944: Flew many missions flying supplies into France and evacuated wounded troops to England. 15 Aug 44: Dropped paratroopers in Operation Dragoon. 17 Sep 44: Dropped paratroopers during Operation Market Garden. 12/44-1/45: Flew supply missions during Battle of the Bulge. 24 Mar 45: Dropped paratroopers for Operation Varsity.

Delivered to the Army as XP820 in 1961. To the Army Air Corps Historic Flight in 1989. Transferred to civil registry as G-CICP in 2015. Reamained in Army colours as XP820.

Southwestern Alloys' yard adjacent to AMARC, crammed with 1950s US military types, including Convair T-29s, Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcars and a Lockheed C-121 Super Constellation. The Convairs on the far right are within the base and stored for further use or eventual disposal.

Delivered as T-29B in Oct 1952, converted to JT-29B in Apr 1963, then to VT-29B in Dec 1963. Struck off charge in Sep 1975, stored for surplus sale at Subic Bay, Philippines. Became N1688 with Carolina Aircraft Co. in Dec 1975, then to RP-C110 in Feb 1976. Later with Swiftair, Aero Services and Vendex Airways. Eventually stored at Manila, Philippines by 1994, still there by Mar 1999. Fate unknown, presumably scrapped circa 2000.

Peru operated 16 Buffalos from 1972 and the type was withdrawn in the early 1990s. 322 has been stored outside at Las Palmas for many years as part of the Air Force Museum collection and is now looking a bit tired.

The Province of Quebec still operates two of their original 1969 build Canadair CL-215s (C-FTXJ and C-FTXK) at the time of uploading.

Delivered in the 1950's to German Air Force as KA+129 & later re-registered GA-116 & in 1967 re-registered 53+00. Damaged by fuel fire during engine start at Pastazo airstrip in Ecuador on 27 October 1981 as HC-BDO with ATESA Ecuador (Was delivered to this airline on 20 April 1977). Photographed on very short final for the now disused runway 23L at London-Heathrow. The aircraft was withdrawn from use in 1987 and is now displayed at at Aeropark Budapest at Budapest Ferihegy Airport.
