First flown 20-Dec-1963 and used by BOAC acceptance trials. This was BOAC's eight Standard VC10 and the first with full specifications ready for passenger service when delivered 22-Apr-1964. It was the first VC10 to carry the "Golden Speedbird" livery. To Gulf Air 11-Mar-1974, rew-registered A4O-VI01-OCt-1975. To RAF for tanker conversion 17-Apr-1978 as ZA142. First flown as VC10 K.2 18-Mar-1984. Flew the last RAF VC10 K.2 flight Brize Norton to St. Athan 27-Mar-2001. Broken up by May 2004. To the RAF as ZD243 in 1981 and stored at Abingdon. Never entered service, purchased for spare parts. Partially disassembled and transported to Filton by road in June 1992 in order to study airframe deterioration.

WFU October 1979. To the RAF as ZD235 in April 1981 and stored at Abingdon. Flown to Filton for K.4 conversion in July 1991 and delivered to the RAF in March 1996. Withdrawn from use at St.Athan in March 2002 and broken up in January 2004.

A rare sight in Aalborg

Delivered to BOAC on 2nd April 1965. Merged into British Airways in April 1974. Carried out last scheduled service for the VC10 on 29th March 1981. Ferried to RAF Brize Norton for storage 1st April 1981. Allocated serial ZD234. Later allocated maintenance serial 8700M. The nose section was used as the basis for the K3 tanker simulator. Remains used for fire training and lasted until 1991.

Originally G-ASIX with British United. Operated by the Oman Government from October 1974 until donated to the Brooklands Museum and flown from Heathrow to Brooklands on 6th July 1987.

To the RAF April 1981, allocated ZD238. Ferried to Abingdon. Broken up there by 1987.

Ex-G-ARVC. To A4O-VC with Gulf Air October 1975. WFU December 1977 and ferried to Stansted for storage. Sold to RAF for conversion to Type 1112 K2 tanker. Ferried Stansted to Filton 29th March 1978. Delivered to 101 Squadron as ZA144 'E' 3rd February 1984. WFU August 2000 and ferried to St Athan for scrapping.

XV102 was delivered to 10 Sqd RAF Brize Norton in 1967. Converted to a C.1K tanker / transport in 1993, it was withdrawn in December 2011. The aircraft was scrapped at Bruntingthorpe in May 2012 after spares recovery.
