First flown at Hurn on 29 August 1957 at Hurn as part of an order for BOAC Associated Companies. The first operator was Middle East Airlines where c/n 240 flew as OD-ACU. MEA sub-leased OD-ACU to Jersey Airlines before purchasing it from BOAC for lease to Jordan Airways in 1961. Returned to MEA in 1964, it was sold to Air Rhodesia as VP-WAR in 1968. In 1976 it was sold to Aviation Hire & Traders as ZS-JPU and leased to Swazi Air. Re-registered 3D-AAL the same year, it remained on lease to Swazi until 1979 when returned for lease to Air Rhodesia.
