When the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland was dissolved and Malawi and Zambia gained independence, CAA became a holding company and the Viscounts operated with nameplates for the new airlines; Air Malawi, Air Rhodesia, and Zambia Airways. To Air Rhodesia 1 January 1968, 1 January 1968 to s VP-YKB, to Air Zimbabwe Rhodesia June 1979, name changed to Air Zimbabwe February 1980. Re-registered Z-YNC October 1983.
