Reportedly converted to SC-47A in 1956 and, in the absence of a service record card, we may assume it was based in Iceland or Greenland on SAR duties judging by the combustion heater exhaust stain on the fuselage. When seen here it was assigned to the 7531st Ammunition Squadron at Welford, Berkshire and used for shipping ordinance to USAF bases in the UK. Last known stored at Davies Monthan in September 1967.

Still representing Dakota Mk.III FZ692. That plane's name and mission marks are applied to port side, with 'Kwicherbichen' meaning as much as 'stop complaining'. 'UK' on the nose does not stand for United Kingdom but was part of FZ692's squadron code 5T-UK that was covered by the invasion stripes shortly before D-Day, and therefore re-applied at a different spot. On her way to Ostrava airport, some 40km (25mi) west-northwest of it, for the 2021 Ostrava NATO Days event.
