I met my wife on this aircraft in October 1972. She was one of the cabin crew! The aircraft went to Presidential Airways in January 1986 as N312XV and America West in June 1987, with whom it was re-registered a few months later as N198AW. It was damaged beyond repair in a landing incident at Tucson AZ on 30 December 1989.
Owned by Field Aircraft Services ex Ghana Airways 9G-AAW. It went to Skyline Sweden August 1976 as SE-FOZ. Crashed and w/o on approach to Stockholm Bromma 15 January 1977 due to icing. This was caused by the number 2 and number 3 engines running too long at reduced power (during the descent) and rendering the temperature of the anti ice system too low to be effective.
A number of Skyvans were painted at Field Aircraft Services at East Midlands Airport and this one is seen prior to delivery. It is operated by Endiama, an Angolan diamond company. Scanned from negative 120 film, Mamiya 645, 80mm lens
