This classic Tristar was delivered to Air Canada March 23, 1974. It was leased to Air Lanka December 1981 for almost a year (4R-TNK) and finally sold to Royal Aviation in October 1993. To my memory few aviation events have seen as much rain as IAT87. This arrival, with patron of the Air Tattoo HM King Hussein at the controls, was worth leaving shelter for a moment. Very appropriately registered JY-HKJ is clearly distinguished from other Tristars by its vast array of transmitters and receivers. In October 2001 the aircraft changed royal hands and became HZ-AB1.

To my memory few aviation events have seen as much rain as IAT87. This arrival, with patron of the Air Tattoo HM King Hussein at the controls, was worth leaving shelter for a moment. Very appropriately registered JY-HKJ is clearly distinguished from other Tristars by its vast array of transmitters and receivers. In October 2001 the aircraft changed royal hands and became HZ-AB1.
