The only Australian built Canberra to be registered as a civil aircraft. Initially N20AN. Ferried to the US. Reregistered, it returned to Australia in 1991. Flew back to the US in March 1993. Reportedly grounded at Redding, CA, in 2004 and at the time of upload believed to still be there. It is not known if plans to paint it black as Martin B-57 have been carried out. Interestingly, the Australian civil registered aircraft was built in the UK after it was decided the Australian-made aircraft were unsuitable for long-term warbird operation.

Part of the RAF long-range flight of three aircraft that flew non-stop from Ismailia, Egypt, to Darwin Australia in November 1938. L2638 was on a test flight out of RAAF Richmond on November 28 when it suffered engine trouble. and landed in a tomato crop. The aircraft was dismantled and taken back to Richmond. It was back to the UK. One of the other two (L3680) was also shipped back to the UK. The third (L3639) was substantially damaged in a forced landing in Western Australia. It remained in Australia as an instructional airframe until scrapped in 1944.

A4-28 was a pre-World War II delivery to the RAAF as a general reconnaissance aircraft. Soon after the war started, the RAAF replaced Ansons in this role with Lockheed Hudsons. A4-28 was transferred to training units where it was joined by the 1000 Ansons shipped to Australia as part of the Empire Air Training Scheme. It was scrapped after the war. A89-305 was originally all over gloss sea blue but in a effort to reduce temperatures in the fuselage the top was painted white in 1962. About 1965/66 it was painted in the US Navy's white and light gull grey livery. When A89-305 became due for a major overhaul in 1967 it was scrapped.
