This ILFC owned 737 was leased to Far Eastern Air Transport (B-2611) and Nordair before coming Canadian Airlines in 1987. It's pictured ready to return to the lessor with the registration taped inside the last five windows. Not an exciting photo, but still the end of a chapter in the aircraft's history. There were many other chapters in South America and Indonesia. Last with the Indonesian Air Force (AI-7034), the aircraft over ran the runway landing at Timika Mozes Kilangin Airport (WAAY/TIM) on April 17, 2023 collapsing the nose gear. It remains stored at TIM at the time of uploading.

With a history similar to most of AIr Canada's 727-200s, C-GYNM was delivered June 17, 1982. Sold to Federal Express in August 1992, it was converted to a freighter and registered N286FE. Stored at Victorville, CA in 2012, it has been a source for parts. It was one of the few 727s at Air Canada with the bare metal lower fuselage in this color scheme.

A new design linked to Fairchild's original model 71 in name only. The aircraft was built around a large forward cargo compartment with an external parasol wing and the pilot positioned well aft. Loaned to Canadian Airways for operational testing in 1935, you can see why the pilot's position proved hazardous as the view forward was poor. The floatplane struck debris in the water several times in service before it hit a submerged tree on take off at Lost Lake in 1940 and sank. The salvaged remains recovered in the 70s, the aircraft was later restored by the museum for display.

One of the last B-25s built, 45-8884 was delivered to storage in the fall of 1945 for disposal by the Reconstruction Finance Corporation. Instead it was taken on strength by the US Air Force in December 1946 and not sold surplus until 1958. The Bomber is pictured recently imported into Canada by warbird collector Jerry Janes and the Canadian Warplane Heritage. It was repainted in RCAF post war colors (5262 / City of Edmonton). The aircraft returned to the USA as N5833B in 1985 and is currently flying as 45-8884 / Lady Luck at the time of uploading.

The final Western color scheme before merging with Delta Air Lines. Delivered to Western November 14, 1969 and sold to Faucett Peru December 1988. Tragically, the 727 was lost while returning from a lease to Air Malta. On September 11, 1990 a distress call was heard as it was some 300 miles from Gander, Newfoundland over the Atlantic Ocean, but the aircraft was never found.

Tragically, the 727 was lost while returning from a lease to Air Malta. On September 11, 1990 a distress call was heard as it was some 300 miles from Gander, Newfoundland over the Atlantic Ocean, but the aircraft was never found.

CP Air brought jet service with the Boeing 737 to smaller routes that went back to the beginnings of Canadian Pacific Airlines. Some routes in British Colombia were transferred to Pacific Western Airlines in 1969, those that remained were known as the BC District within the airline (and included connection airports in Alberta and the Yukon). CF-CPD was sold to PEOPLExpress in 1982 (N433PE) and merged with Continental Airlines in 1987 (N16232 after 1989). The aircraft was withdrawn in 1998 and later broken up.
