Delivered August 17, 1979, this 747 had the stretched upper deck conversion in late 1985 and / or early 1986. Retired by KLM in 2003, the aircraft was sold to Southern Air in April 2004 and broken up by the end of that year.
This 747 was with Cathay Pacific from December 1980 - January 1999 (registered B-HIC after August 13, 1997). To Air Atlantic Iceland on January 15, 1999, it was stored at Sharjah - Dubai, UAE in October 2005.
This Thunderstreak was modified to look more like a Mirage V to accommodate firecrew training. They even gave it an existing Mirage serial (BA07, crashed in 1978). The badge on the tail is from 10W. The aircraft is now on display at a museum in Peer, and is being restored to a real Streak.
