One of the last B-25s built, 45-8884 was delivered to storage in the fall of 1945 for disposal by the Reconstruction Finance Corporation. Instead it was taken on strength by the US Air Force in December 1946 and not sold surplus until 1958. The Bomber is pictured recently imported into Canada by warbird collector Jerry Janes and the Canadian Warplane Heritage. It was repainted in RCAF post war colors (5262 / City of Edmonton). The aircraft returned to the USA as N5833B in 1985 and is currently flying as 45-8884 / Lady Luck at the time of uploading.

August/45:Rolled out as B-25J 45-8884. October/45: RFC Altus AAF, OK. December/46: TOS USAAF; stored. September/47: Converted to TB-25J. 1958: Norton AFB, CA, sold for $1960. October/58: Registered N3156G. 1979: Jerry Janes, Vancouver, BC. 1982: Flown to Tahiti; used in the movie "Endless Sea." 1982: Canadian Warplane Heritage; registered C-GCWJ. august/85: Registered N5833B. August/85: Based with Air Aces Museum. Marked as USAF 45-8884A, "Georgia Girl." September/04 to 2007: Chino, CA for complete restoration to military standard.

Acquired by the Canadian Warplane Heritage in 1980. Painted as RCAF 5262, but in fact never served with the Canadians. It is ex N3156G, and USAAF 45-8884 before that. Sold in the US as N5833B in 1985.
