This 1947 built Navion was previously registered N91760 before coming to Canada in 1968 as CF-UKT. To C-FGVS circa 1983 with a new owner, the registration was cancelled August 1993. The aircraft was exported back to the USA where it was registered N70954.

This Sportsman, built in 1971, is still current in British Columbia at the time of uploading.

In the late 60s and 70s, De Havilland aircraft in the Canadian Air Force used in Search and Rescue had an over all white color scheme (with high visibility additions). This facilitated an aircraft's use in Canada's United Nations missions around the world where the aircraft were over all white marked with UN insignia. SAR markings changed to over all yellow in the late 70s. 13805 is current with 440 Squadron based at Yellowknife, NWT at the time of uploading.
