Taken when the airport was Berlin-Schönefeld in East Germany. Delivered to the East German Air Force as 497 in 1964. Transferred to Interflug as DM-STP in 1970. Reregistered as DDR-STP in 1981 then D-AOAQ in 1990. To BerLine in 1992 then to Air Ukraine as UR-75475 in 1993. To Kryla in 1999 then to Alada as D2-FAM by 2003. Last noted at Luanda in 2003. Probably scrapped.

On 6 June 1982 N95C crashed after a local maintenance flight shortly after becoming airborne during the second takeoff, the right engine suffered a power loss. The pilot had 5 hrs as PIC - the co-pilot none.

Built in 1958 and here still company owned for demonstration purposes. In 1971 it was registered to Intermountain Air Services as N6080 and last heard of was retired to the Yankee Air Museum painted in US Army livery as "24171".

Delivered new in 1958, registered to Air Links/Transglobe as G-ATGD in 1965. Sold to African Safari Airways as 5X-UVH/5Y-ALP and scrapped at Derby (EGBD) in 1971.

This DC-3 was acquired by Sea Star Pacific in the early 1980s and painted in their colours. Circa 1984 the titles were replaced with these "Western Pacific" titles, but no info on such an airline in 1984 could be traced (Solomon Islands-based Western Pacific Airline was founded in 1985). It still carried these titles by July 1985, but later reverted to its earlier Sea Star Pacific titles. The aircraft was eventually scrapped and sunk in the Majuro Lagoon as a divers attraction. Noted as such in 2002, still with Sea Star Pacific titles. If anybody knows more about this "Western Pacific", let me know. (photographer unknown)

On display at the first open day at the IWM Duxford facility. Ex-Hunting Surveys. WFU in April 1973, presented to the East Anglian Aviation Society and undergoing restoration. Sold to West Country Aircraft Servicing in March 1977 and on to Air Atlantique in October 1977. Current in 2023 with Aero Legends in RAF colours as "KP220".

Braniff was the first operator of this aircraft and it was later modified to a 580 with North Central.
