A4-231 had been handed over the RAAF the month before this photo was taken and shows it in its original dark green finish. Withdrawn from use in 2009, A4-231 was passed to Vietnam Veteran's Museum on Phillip Island, Victoria.

Delivered to the RAAF in 1964, this aircraft flew until withdrawn in 1992. It then became a training aid at Richmond Airforce Base.

Painted as N43888, it never flew as such but reverted back to USAF ownership and then registered N98NC but, again, never flew as such. Now stored at the Pima museum.

On the North side of Mehrabad airport, connected with a taxiway that also runs past the maintenance complex, is the so-called aerospace exhibition. This Caribou is thought to be one of two used in support of the US projects Dark Gene and IBEX which was basically spying on the Soviet Union from Iran. The C-7 was used to supply the forward deployed operatives at their listening posts.

Positioned inside the museum restoration hangar awaiting its turn to be worked on. It is currently on display in the Southeast Asia War Gallery.

Delivered Nov 1962 to US Army .Used in Europe by 507th Army Security Agency Group,s Special Projects Detachment at 4th AAF , West Germany on a secret intelligence-gathering project. Transferred to USAF charge Dec 31,1966 but whilst nominally then transferred to 7101st ABW at Wiesbaden AB and from Feb1969 to 7406th Support Squadron at Rhein-Main AB ,continued secretive activities on behalf of the US Army until Aug 1970 when returned to USA.Sold Oct 1986 to Darryl Greenamyer as N9012J .Operated with Chieftain Air,reputedly a covert operation in Africa .Sold to Inter-Ocean AW as C9-ATV Dec 5,1990
