The final arrival at Sola for the Musum. 01-06-2020 N151 took off from Faribanks, and after ca 30 minutes had to return and go back due to a problem with engine no 3. After approx two hours it took off again and flew to Yellowknife in Canada, which was the final stop before an alomst 15 hours flight across the Atlantic and after a lowpass at Bergen, it came for a lowpass along rwy 18 at Sola, before tunring and arriving rwy 36, shown by these photos. The "QRILL PET ARCTIC WORLD SERIES" is an important sign of how this ferry flight was made possible.

To me personally, it was a tremendous joy to be there and watch it come and arrive after its final flight, led by Robert Everts, the chief of Everts Air Cargo who said "I could gladly have flown this aircaft to Las Palmas" after he had arrived with this beautufil DC-6B repanited as it was when it left BU in 1971 as LN-SUB. Now it has been beautiful restored even inside and will soon be under roof at Sola Air Museum, led by real Aviation enthusiasts. In the pandemic: "The Old one flies, while new ones are grounded

This aircraft had been operated in Canada as C-FFZM but was officially US-registered as N61DM from October 2022; it wore no marks when I took this photo. It has since been repainted into a green-and-white livery and put back into landplane configuration.

Built as a US Army L-20 (later U-6A), serial 54-1720 and delivered February 1956. In 1976 the aircraft was registered as N31068, initially for the US Navy Test Pilots' School and later the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. In 1999 it was re-registered as N314HA and has had a number of Alaskan owners since then.

Delivered in 1961. Damaged beyond repair in a landing accident at West Freugh in 1984. Fuselage to the dump there. Scrapped in 2011.

Docked at its Baie-Comeau base. Delivered new to the US Army in 1956 as 55-3297. Served in Vietnam with the 54th Aviation Company at Vung Tau. Converted to civilian configuration by 1975, when it joined Labrador Air Safari, serving for forty years until sold in 2015. Put into storage with Recon Air at Geraldton, Ontario, for subsequent turbine conversion.

Apparently no longer named "Ti-Loup du Lac".

The only Connellan Heron that was not converted to a Riley Heron with Lycoming engines. Instead it was sold to Saunders Aircraft in Canada in December 1972 as CF-FZP . Saunders converted the aircraft into a Saunders ST-27 twin turboprop. Eric Allen photo

Still going strong, former Canadian Armed Forces CC-109 109154, ex HP-1468, now FAB-74 with TAM, the commercial branch of the Bolivian Air Force.

A genuine DC-3 cockpit section mounted on the facade of the Servientrega office at El Dorado Airport. About half way between the Marriott Hotel and the Puente Aerea Terminal. It is still unknown from which airframe this cockpit section is. There have been many propliners broken up here over the years at both Bogota El Dorado Airport as well as at nearby Madrid Airbase.
