In the 1980s this aircraft had two periods of service with the Fuerza Area Argentina and was serialled T-96. On 31st January 1993, whilst on lease to Lineas Aéreas del Estado - LADE, it was damaged beyond repair when it suffered a nosewheel collapse when landing at Recife-Guararapes International Airport, Brazil.

A large followership of Dutch fans was flown in mostly on Martinair and Transavia aircraft while a BIAS DC-6 is seen under tow in the background.
