Originally delivered to Pan American in 1953 as N4061K (see nosewheel door), this freight converted Douglas DC-6B sits forlornly awaiting its fate. After the collapse of Conifair/Royal Aviation, no further history is known for the a/c.
Initially a DC-6B CF-CUO with CP Air this aircraft, like so many others, was later converted to (F). It was damaged beyond repair landing at Villavicencio, Colombia in February, 1994 as HK-3847X. Other registrations carried were F-BHMR, TU-TCK, HP-936, N2890M, and N94BL.
Delivered new to National Airlines as N8222H in 10.52. To Northeast Airlines in 09.63. Converted to freight in 1973. N84BL with Aerial Transit from 01.89. Crashed after take-off from Guatemala City 04.05.90.
Built new for American Airlines as N37570 in 01.56 serving until 11.68 Converted to freighter. Operated by ILPO on lease from 05.89 as N37570. Reregistered XA-RMM by them in 06.90. Returned to USA in 09.90.
