First flown 28 March 1956 and delivered to Central African Airways 24 April. When the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland was dissolved and Malawi and Zambia gained independence, CAA became a holding company and the Viscounts operated with nameplates for the new airlines; Air Malawi, Air Rhodesia, and Zambia Airways. To Air Malawi as 7Q-YDK 1 January 1968, June 1979 to Air Zimbabwe Rhodesia, name changed to Air Zimbabwe February 1980. Re-registered Z-YNA October 1983. Air Malawi had a regular scheduled service into Gatwick in the 70's from Blantyre. Delivered new to British United Airways - BUA as G-ASIW on 29 Sep 1964. Merged with Caledonian on 30 Nov 1970 and noted as British Caledonian Airways in Sep 1971. Sold to Air Malawi as 7Q-YKH on 25 Nov 1974. WFU and stored at Bournemouth Hurn in Oct 1979. Later stored at Blantyre in Malawi May 1981. Broken up.

Probably taken on a Saturday as the Air Malawi flight to Blantyre used to be on the ground at the same time as BA052, the Standard VC10 to Entebbe-Frankfurt-London. Delivered to MEA as OD-ACV in 1957. To Central African Airways as VP-YTE in 1961, Air Malawi as 7Q-YDL in 1968, Aviation Equipment, Spares and Service as ZS-KJG in 1979 and Air Zimbabwe as VP-WJI in 1980. Reregistered as Z-WJI in 1983. Withdrawn from use at Harare in 1984 and scrapped around 1992.
