Probably taken on a Saturday as the Air Malawi flight to Blantyre used to be on the ground at the same time as BA052, the Standard VC10 to Entebbe-Frankfurt-London. Delivered to MEA as OD-ACV in 1957. To Central African Airways as VP-YTE in 1961, Air Malawi as 7Q-YDL in 1968, Aviation Equipment, Spares and Service as ZS-KJG in 1979 and Air Zimbabwe as VP-WJI in 1980. Reregistered as Z-WJI in 1983. Withdrawn from use at Harare in 1984 and scrapped around 1992. This photo was added on 4 February 2022, and has since been viewed 648 times. |
