When Air Malawi introduced the VC-10 in the mid-1970s, the airline gradually introduced the AM logo on the tail. 7Q-YKA is here seen with the AM log at Manchester in January 1988. The airframe was built at nearby Woodford in 1969 for Air BVI as VP-LVQ, but not taken up. To Air Malawi as 7Q-YKA and used on regional services until 1991 when retired and broken up.
