When the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland was dissolved and Malawi and Zambia gained independence, CAA became a holding company and the Viscounts operated with nameplates for the new airlines; Air Malawi, Air Rhodesia, and Zambia Airways. To Air Malawi as 7Q-YDK 1 January 1968, June 1979 to Air Zimbabwe Rhodesia, name changed to Air Zimbabwe February 1980. Re-registered Z-YNA October 1983.
