Bought by Domino's Pizza founder Tom Monaghan in Oct 1987 and leased to Domino's Pizza. Used to fly guests to Domino's Lodge, a private resort complex created in 1986-1987 (also by Tom Monaghan) on Drummond Island in Lake Huron (MI). The complex was sold in Apr 1992, and the name changed to Woodmoor. This Convair has the Domino's Pizza logo on the tail, as well as "Domino's Lodge - Drummond Island, MI" titles and the lodge's logo on the forward fuselage.

High Line Airways C-GQCQ September 1981, merged into Norcanair 1984, merged into Time Air 1987. Canada West Air 1988, stored Tucson 1990. Reregistered N55AP 1993 but remained stored in Time Air colours until scrapped late 1990's.

This abandoned Convair is hiding in a remote corner of the airport of Morelia, near the end of the runway. An unpaved path leads to this airplane. It can also be clearly seen from highway 48-D, but not from the airport terminal. Google Earth shows the airplane painted in bright colors but these have faded or have been washed away in the Mexican climate. What now remains is a decorative cover that looks like urban-graffiti. If you look closely you can still read the registration XB-GNM on the tail and dorsal fin. Also note the very faded "Cariboo" titles on the fuselage, from its time with North Cariboo Flying Service as C-GRWW in the early and mid 1980s.

Braniff was the first operator of this aircraft and it was later modified to a 580 with North Central.

Seen crossing the Sawyer Road overpass to depart on runway 28R at Port Columbus.

Just finished fueling at the end gate of the old Port Columbus airport. the old observation deck is just above the forward fuselage and I spent many hours on the wonderful vantage point.

Delivered new to KLM in 1953 as PJ-CVB/PH-CGK and here just acquired by Eastern Canada Stevedoring Co. Ltd. and likely on delivery to Canada where it would have been used to fly maritime personnel from port to port. Strangely it was replaced by a CV240 with the same registration in 1964. This airframe was converted to CV580 and spent many years flying freight in Europe as OO-DHD and EC-GKH.

Delivered to the US Navy as 141009 in 1955. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code 1G023 in 1986. Sold as N8149P and converted to a sprayer for Beaufort County Mosquito Control in 1998. To Contract Air Cargo and stored at Pontiac, MI in 2011. Still there in 2017.
