One of my earliest slides just before (fortunately) switching to Kodachrome. G-ANBL was received by BOAC on 2 March 1957 and was leased by Britannia Airways from June 1965. Sub-leased to Southern Cross just for a month and returned to Britannia who then purchased her, but scrapped at Luton July 1972 after 18 months' storage. An Airlift 707 (background) is one thing I don't have in my collection...

How about a Whistling Wheelbarrow formation team then? The Red Arrows practise on their Gnats above Kemble while many of the RAF's Argosies languish in storage below. XP438 joined 105 Sqdn on 14.8.62 and moved to 114 Sqdn in 1967. Withdrawn to 5MU in 10.71 and broken up 12.75

Interflug IL-18's were rare but very welcome visitors to LHR in the 1980's, usually on freight runs. This 1968-vintage example went to Polnippon in 1990 as SP-FNC then became Sharjah-based with Air Cess in 1997. Exported to Zaire, it was destroyed in an attack at Kalemie in 1998 but the wreckage reportedly remains

Berlin's resident DC-3 is seen here with "Rosinenbomber" and "Berliner Flughäfen" titles, sharing the unique Templehof covered parking area with fellow Dakotas SE-CFP, G-AMPY and LN-WND to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift. D-CXXX was formerly G-AMPZ so it is certainly not the first time she has sat alongside Air Atlantique sister-ship G-AMPY!
