Former Intercontinental de Aviación aircraft

Ex JA8209, registered 5th Sep 1970 and seen here at EGNX for heavy maintenance

Registered to Vickers Armstrong as G-ASBM in 7.62, this was the third from last Viscount built and went initially to All Nippon then SAN Ecuador in 1970. First arriving in Colombia in 1975 with TAC (later renamed Aerocesar), she was sold to Intercontinental in 1987. Wfu a couple of months before this shot, the fuselage remains intact at El Dorado in private hands having at one stage served as a police social club. Noted in May 2008; the wings are apparently stored separately

Vickers Armstrong registered this Viscount , the penultimate one built, as G-ASBO in 7.62 but it was sold to All Nippon Airways in November that year as JA8209. It was bought by SAN in 9.70 but crashed (without fatalities) at Cuenca on 8.10.82
