First registered as VH-EBV with Qantas in 1967 and bought by Zambia ten years after. In 1989 she was sold to TAAT as ST-ALP and ended up with a new lease of life with the USAF as 92-3290 after E-8C conversion by Grumman Aerospace, being the second J-STARS production aircraft.
