Seen before the start of the London to Melbourne Air Race between Dragon Rapide ZK-ACO and Gee Bee NX14307, this veteran Fairey Fox, formerly J8424, crashed in Italy on 22 October 1934. Aviators Gilman and Baines were killed, the only fatalities of the race.
