Ex RNZAF not RAAF. Flew with BAe Systems in Australia from 1999 to 2020. Comment on the warbird markings: There was no A19-095 in RAAF service with A19-077 the highest serial. However, as with RAAF CT4As, the mock serial uses the c/n as its basis.

Ex RAAF T5458 and civil registered as VH-KBX from 1982 to 2006 when it was withdrawn from use. Restored to the register as VH-KPQ in 2017 but the poor condition of the wings brought the rebuild to a halt. It remains on the register at KPQ at the time of upload but is displayed in the markings it received during rebuilding. That includes the former civil registration of VH-KBX, Photo by: David Caughey

RAAF 100 Squadron's Canberra is masquerading as an RAAF machine. In fact it was a Handley-Page built example, delivered to the RAF as a B2, serial WJ680. Later converted to a TT18. It was sold in 1992 and flew for nearly a decade in the UK as WJ680, registered G-BURM. In 2001 it was acquired for the Temora Aviation Museum and shipped to Australia, being re-registered VH-ZSQ on 30 July 2002 and painted to represent A84-234. (The front fuselage of the real A84-234 is on display at the RAAF Museum, Point Cook.)

Jeff Trappett's magnificent Sabre. The CAC Sabre was powered by a RR Avon with additional thrust and had significantly improved hitting power with two 30mm Aden cannon. Delivered to the RAAF on 28 Jan 1960. Allocated to the Indonesian TNI-AU as F-8606 but crashed at Denpasar, Bali, on delivery in Feb 1973. Retained by the RAAF until acquired by Jeff in 1982. This Tiger was built by De Havilland Australia to an RAF order, but entered service with the RAAF under its RAF serial T5531. Post-war, it became VH-ATD on 1 June 1946. It was re-registered as VH-RNL on 5 April 1955, then VH-CXV on 11 September 1961. It seems to have had a re-bag since last photographed for the database.

This aircraft has a very interesting history. It was built to order of the Netherlands East Indies government in 1941 and based at Surabaya as PK-VVW, but shipped to Adelaide at the outset of the Japanese invasion. Impressed into RAAF Service 1942 as A17-626 and based at Temora, Richmond, Point Cook amongst others. Sold by RAAF 1954 to the Mackay Flying Club and became VH-GWB but crashed in Rockhampton in 1958 and was deregistered. Restored and re-registered as VH-MDV in 1959.
