This T-39 was retired to AMARC as 7T0027 in September, 1990. It was then sold to Jett Paqueteria and became XA-AAG. However, on 2nd June, 2003 this was one of several Rockwell Sabreliners, previously operated by the US Navy, that were damaged beyond repair at Laredo IAP, Texas, when a hangar roof collapsed during a windstorm as they were were being prepared for the Mexican airline.
This Sabre got its Mexican registration in late 2001, after which it went to Colombia via Panama, on the way back the plane was found to be carrying 240 kg of cocaine. It was confiscated at the airport, where it remained on the dump for years and years.
