F6F-3 BuNo 25910 was delivered new to VF-38 in July 1943. The squadron saw combat in the Solomon Islands in 1943 & 44 while being land based. After returning to the U.S. in 1944, 25910 was stationed at NAS San Diego and NAS Jacksonville. It was assigned to the Carrier Qualification Training Unit at NAS Glenview, IL. in December 1944. On 5 January 1945 while operating aboard USS Sable, 25910 went overboard after a landing, with the pilot recovered uninjured. The a/c was retrieved from the lake in November 2009, restored at the museum, and put on display in December 2013.

ENET No.1 Jorge Newbery is a technical school in Haedo, Buenos Aires. They keep a number of aircraft to teach students, the only one reasonably positioned for a picture being their Prentice E-350. They also have an A-4Q, a T-28, and a C-45H.

Jun-Jul 1955: Converted to TB-25N. 10 Oct '57: SOC. 1/58: Registered N5277V and used by several owners for firefighting. 5/93: Registered N225AJ. 1998: Peddycord Foundation for Aircraft Restoration, Asheboro, NC; restored from 1998 to 2004; making its first flight restored on 30 Oct '04 flying as "Carolina Girl." 8/04: Re-registered as N744CG. 2008: Jerry Shiffer/B-25 Project, Urbana, OH; more work done to the airframe; named "Champaign Gal." 23 Dec '08: Champaign Aviation Museum.

This airframe is actually a composite of parts from six aircraft. Many sections and parts are also being scratch-built using original blueprints. Airframe is identified as 44-83722 since that plane supplied the bulk of the parts, but they are adopting another parts bird, 44-85813, as their s/n. Other aircraft used are: 44-83316, 44-83525, 44-85505, 44-85734.

Delivered to Republic Airlines as N136HQ in 2008 and operated for US Airways Express and then American Eagle after they merged in 2013.

Delivered to Delta Connection as N135EV in 2009. Operated for them by Atlantic Southeast Airlines until 2011, Expressjet Airlines until 2017 and then by Endeavor Air.

Converted to fire-tanker. 7/87: Air Spray, Alberta. 19 June '09: Champaign Aviation Museum, Grimes Field, Urbana, OH, as N381EC. When photo was taken it had become N381EC but the old registration had yet to be removed and the new one applied.

Now on display in Smyrna, TN. as a memorial to Captain Jeff Kuss, USMC. In 2016 Capt. Kuss perished during a Blue Angel practice at Smyrna and the city erected the memorial in his honor.
