One of two Fokker F-28 leased by Air Ontario in 1988. Originally delivered to Turkish Airlines in July 1973 (TC-JAS), , it was one of several Turkish F-28s bought by TAT Transport Aerien Transregional in 1987. The lease was cut short (December 1988 - July 1989) after the crash of Air Ontario's other F-28 (C-FONF) at Dryden, ON on March 10, 1989.

In 2007, Lockheed Martin won the competition to build the Advanced Composite Cargo Aircraft (ACCA) for the Air Force Research Laboratory (badge on tail). Designated X-55 after first flight, Lockheed modified a Fairchild Dornier 328JET with a new advanced composite fuselage section constructed as a single large component which included the vertical fin replacing the original aft of the entrance door. Oval in section, the aft end was wider to allow cargo loading via a ramp and shortened the length by 14 feet. In 2014, the aircraft was placed on display at Joe Davies Heritage Airpark in Palmdale, CA.

Built for TABA (Transportes Aéreos Buenos Aires S.A.) in 1968, the airline failed before delivery and this Twin Otter was delivered to Mexico as XA-BOQ in November 1970. AirWest acquired the aircraft in 1978. Pictured after refurbishment and painted in their new color scheme, the airline would be renamed Air BC in October 1980. With occasional temporary leases to other local airlines, it remained in Air BC's fleet until 1996 when it was sold to West Coast Air Services. Next to J R S Sky Inc in 2011, it's current flying skydivers around the Eastern US as N137JR at the time of uploading.

This Turbo Beaver was registered to Eaton's Canada in February 1981. Eaton's was one of the largest department stores in Canada, but the company sought bankruptcy protection in 1997 and the Beaver was placed up for sale in 1998. It was sold to the USA in June 1999 as restructuring failed and corporate assets were acquired by Sears Canada in August 1999. The aircraft went to the USA as N227N and is current at the time of uploading.

Uncompleted sale to Honduran Air Force saw Corsair bu 97359 registered N5213V in 1959. Stored in Phoenix (1959) and Tucson AZ (1969), the aircraft was registered N97359 to fly in TV series "Ba Ba Black Sheep" 1976 - 78. Later it was based in Duxford, UK as N240CA during 1988 - 92 wearing New Zealand Navy markings. Pictured as bu 82050 which Lieutenant Thomas Hudner jr made a wheels-up landing behind enemy lines near Koto-Ri, North Korea in an unsuccessful attempt to rescue his wingman Ensign Jesse Brown on Dec 4, 1950. Lt. Hudner was rescued by helicopter and later awarded the Medal of Honor.

Former Royal Canadian Air Force wartime Expiditor flew with Millardair from 1969 until the carrier's bankruptcy in 1990. Exported to the USA in 1992 the aircraft became N40JT, but not without a fight. Modified to an Expiditor Mk 3T circa 1952, this model was not eligible for US certification. The registration was approved after the aircraft "assumed" the identity of Beech 18 Mk 3TM cn A-728 / CCA-128 for the USCAR in 1993. It's still current on the US Registry at the time of uploading.

US Air Force C-131A Smaratin 52-5783 was transferred to the US Coast Guard in 1976. When the Convairs were retired, 5783 was sold to Quo Vadis Incorporated who registered it as N2493F June 1984 - July 2013.

Former Empress of Australia is withdrawn from service on this rainy day. With the registration in the last six passenger windows, the aircraft will soon leave for Pakistan to become AP-BCO. It was broken up at Karachi in 2005 after service with Pakistan International Airlines.

Canadian was bought by Air Canada in 2000 and merged a year later. The 737 would fly with Canadian Airline interim Air Canada colors as well as Air Canada Tango and Zip Airlines colors. After two years with Canadian North, the aircraft went to Venezuela as YV287T and flown there 2007 - 2012.

Originally US Army 62-2097, this Huey was withdrawn May 15, 1976. On a second life, it's pictured operated by the State of Washington for fire fighting. The helicopter is still current with Williams Helicopter out of Idaho at the time of uploading.

This aircraft lasted well into the twilight years of the T-bird with the Canadian Air Force. It's currently registered in the USA as N133HH wearing USAF markings.

Former Surinam Airways Twin Otter, with West Coast Air Services from May 1979, was leased to Airwest Airlines in April 1980 and merged into Air BC in November 1980 while still in these colors. Last with Harbour Air, the aircraft ferried Vancouver to Calgary in December 2019 with titles and logo removed.

U-1A Otter 58-1719 served a short Vietnam tour and storage at the Army Aeronautical Depot Maintenance Center in between testing with the Army Aviation Board (1959 - 66) and the Army Security Agency (1969 - 74). On a move Alaska in 1974, the aircraft's engine failed. Rather than repair, the Army sold it "as, where is". To Northern Thunderbird Air with a new engine in 1975, it operated as C-GLES until 1984. N338D in Alaska, the aircraft was bought by Rust's Flying Service in 2008 after an accident in 2006 left it in the bush. Registered N424KT, it was rebuilt with a Vazar turbine conversion.

This early Beaver was first with the Province of Manitoba Government Air Services from May 1949. Pictured with Air North Charter from 1979 - 85, the airline was expanding from their original 1977 "Air North Charter and Training" name to Air North as the fleet acquired larger aircraft . C-FMAS is with Kississing Lake Lodge in Flin Flon, MB at the time of uploading.

This Bristol Freighter did some serious world traveling during 50 years of service. The Royal New Zealand Air Force from 1952 -77, based it in Singapore and Vietnam as well as New Zealand. Flown to England in August 1982 to operate the first service by Instone Air Line as G-AMLK. It returned to New Zealand in 1984 for Hercules Airlines as ZK-EPD. Trans Provincial Airlines bought it in 1987 as C-GYQS. After bankruptcy in 1993, employees formed Hawkair to continue. Stored in 1999 as mining projects providing work in Bronson Creek ended, it was acquired by the Reynolds-Alberta Museum in 2004.

The Schweizer name was revived in 2018 when Sikorsky sold the S300 series helicopter line to Schweizer RSG. The 269D-A (marketed as the S-333) is a development of the piston 269 with a new fuselage, turbine power and upgraded dynamic components.

Catching a fleeting ray of sunshine. The Skyhopper I was a single seat aircraft designed near the end of World War II. Certification was cancelled post war with the expected civil aviation boom not really happening. Eventually sold as one of the early homebuilt plans available, the widened two seat Skyhopper II became available in 1962. Builders were able to use a variety of engines, cowling and canopy designs. The finish on this one was exceptional.
