Nice looking DC-3/C-47 that had been used for carrying skydivers at Avra Valley Airport (now Marana Regional) before being exported to England.

Ex USAAF 42-24243. Served Kestrel from October 1970 until August 1972.

Originally Air Force 41-18624, this DC-3 was bought by Lambair July 29, 1973 and flown out of Thompson, MB. Sold to Perimeter Airways in November 1981, it was used in 1984 as an engine test bed before restoration to flying status. It is presently owned by Buffalo Airways at the time of uploading.

Ex USAAF 44-76551 and RAAF A65-90. Served 851 Squadron RAN before joining the RAN Historic Flight as VH-NVZ in 1985.

VH-ANR was withdrawn from use by Airlines of NSW in July 1972. It was leased at a nominal rental to a group which intended to preserve it. -ANR was flown to Schofields aerodrome a few days later and its registration cancelled. In 1974 the Navy, which owned Schofields, ordered its removal and it was flown to Camden aerodrome under a permit. The Air Scouts got involved in its preservation but in 1981 it was sold with the intention of being restored. That did not happen and -ANR was trucked to the Queensland Air Museum in 1994 for static display.

Aircraft was severely damaged by Hurricane Wilma in October 2005 and dismantled. The damaged aircraft was stored at Shell Creek Airport in Punta Gorda, Florida, and it was still there by 2014, in dismantled condition.

Photographing a highly polished aircraft on sunny day on a crowded ramp can be a challenge! TMF Aircraft never seemed to have enough engines to keep both N32TN and N587MB in service. Both aircraft were highly polished and appeared to be in very good condition. Moved from Opa-locka to LaBelle Municipal Airport a few years ago, N32TN was destroyed by Hurricane Irma on September 10, 2017.

Turin Aviation acquired the aircraft from the Wings of Dreams Aviation Museum in Keystone Heights, Florida and, after a bit of TLC over the past few weeks, the venerable aircraft completed her first flight in almost 4 years. With landing gear extended, the ferry flight from Keystone Heights to Tampa Executive was made at a leisurely 110 knots. Turin plans on restoring the aircraft at nearby Zephyrhills Municipal Airport and attending the 2019 "Daks Over Normandy" event.

Built for TWA as NC34973 in June 1942 but not delivered. Impressed by USAAF as C-49K 43-1995 serving until sold to Eastern as N15773 in 1945. Operated by Central Cargo from May 1969 until withdrawn in 1975.

Allocated U.S. serial number 44-76613 March 26, 1945 Transferred to the R.A.F. under lend / lease agreement at Montreal as KN470 - March 28, 1945 Returned to U.S.A.A.F. as 44-76613 - May 13, 1947 it became H-717 with the Pakistan Air Force on the 25th of November in 1947.Entered onto the British Aircraft Register as G-ANMA - January 11, 1954 Sold to MacRobertson Miller Aviation Entered onto the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-MML - April 20, 1954. It was sold to Air Niugini in January 1974 and registered P2-MML. it was also operated by Bush Pilots. Dick Lang Safaris, Dakota National Air.

Ex RAF Dakota IV KK151 operated December 1944 until March 1952. Flown by many civil operators including BUIA frm November 1968 until April 1973. Still operational in 2013 at age 68 with 42,780 flying hours as at 31.12.11.

C-47 43-48052 was delivered July 10, 1944, passed via Lend-Lease to the RAF as KG769 July 19th and on to the RCAF July 25th. The aircraft was next with Trans Canada Airlines as CF-TEG after November 1945 until going to Transport Canada in August 1947. Registered to Kelowna Flight Craft January 1, 1985, it went to the Odyssey DC-3 Society November 1985. The Dakota flew around the world to promote Vancouver's 1986 World Fair and the DC-3s 50th anniversary from June 10 to August 11, 1986, collecting signatures and stickers along the way. It was exported to the USA as N173RD in September1990.
