Still new to Northwest Territorial when pictured, former Canadian Air Force 12913 was registered C-GWZS January 18, 1982. The aircraft was sold to Buffalo Airways in May 1988 and is current with them at the time of uploading.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-92518 then to the RAF as KG330 in 1944. To the RCAF in 1946. Reserialled to 12913 in 1970. To C-GWZS in 1975 and to Buffalo Airways in 1979. We had flown from Yellowknife on it and later flew back on it.

A closer look at the nose art. The full text (all caps) reads: Captain Dickinson; Ed Force Three; C-47 RAF KG330; No. 512 Squadron; D-day June 6th 1944. Iron Maiden member Bruce Dickinson visited Buffalo and felt WZS deserved a name, having such a history. He decided on 'Ed Force Three' after the band's tourplane, that is in turn named after their mascot Eddie.

Delivered as 42-92518, then on to the RAF as KG330 and particpated in D-Day. To the RCAF in April 1946, used as a radar trainer and became civil in January 1982 with Northwest Territorial with current registration. Taken on by Buffalo in September 1988 and got its name with them in July 2012.
