No sale materialised and sold to Flightspares Ltd on 16 January 1970 for parting out and eventually scrapped at Southend in February 1970.

Scanned from a print with no info recorded, so Christchurch location is surmised. First flown on 28 August 1950 and loaned from the Ministry of Supply for the London-New Zealand Air Race. Vickers v.747 G-ANXV. Delivered to Butler Air Transport "RMA Warral" registered as VH-BAT in October 1955. To Ansett-ANA September 1958. Re-registered VH-RMO May 1963. Leased to MMA (Western Australia) April to Sept 1968. WFU December 1968. Prepared for sale to Pan Indonesian painted in a blue paint scheme, but the sale did not eventuate. slide scan from the NK collection. - G-ASED flew for Alidair between 1972 and 1974 and was sold to ARKIA of Israel afterwards. The Viscount visited the old Munich-Riem airport in connection with the Olympic Games in summer 1972.

slide taken by Norbert Kröpfl. - Air International operated this single Vickers Viscount between 1971 and 1972. G-APPX was built in 1955 and was retired at East Midlands in 1972.

The second VH-TVR (the first completed in TAA colours was not taken up but eventually came to Australia as RAAF A6-435). First flown 19/11/58 as a V.818 model and delivered to Cubana Airlines as CU-T622. Purchased by Trans Australia Airlines (TAA) on 15/3/62 and converted to V.816 standard. WFU on 28/12/69 but briefly returned to service from 1/3/70 to 4/4/70 before retiring with 21213 hours of flight time. TAA donated the aircraft to the Moorabbin Air Museum in June 1970 but due to lack of space it was stored off site for 17 years before returning to Moorabbin for static display (minus tail).
