Transferred to the recreational aircraft register as 24-7979 in November 2015.

Brought to Melbourne, Australia, in 2008 for use as a training aid in a technical college. Declared surplus in 2015 and scrapped. The cockpit section was acquired by the museum for preservation.

The Museum's Firefly WD 827 was delivered to No 817 Squadron at Nowra Naval Air Station in New South Wales on December 10 1950. On July 21 1952 it was assigned to No 723 Squadron with the Joint Anti-Submarine Warfare School at Nowra. It was then transferred to Schofields Naval Air Station on June 8 1954 and returned to Nowra as an instructional airframe on November 14 1954. It was sold to the Australian Air League at Blacktown New South Wales on November 2 1956, and the Museum acquired it from there in March 1973, and it is currently on display.

This BA Swallow (licence-built from the Klemm L-25) was registered new in Australia on 1 November 1935. It was off the Register between 1947-57, and withdrawn from use in 1965 and donated to the Moorabbin Air Museum. In 2014 the Swallow returned to the register following a rebuild but it was withdrawn from use again in 2020 to become a static exhibit.

Now on display at the Moorabbin Aviation Museum, is the former Airworld Drover VH-AZS. It is being restored with both TAA and Flying Doctor paint schemes on either side.

For a time I was the display manager at the ANAM, we have DAP built Beaufighter A8-328 on display. Painted as A8-39 the aircraft is the last Beaufighter in the world capable of running. I took this shot to highlight its sheer awesome-looking power.

We had just put the wings back on the Winjeel the day this image was taken. It was nice to see it complete again.

The second VH-TVR (the first completed in TAA colours was not taken up but eventually came to Australia as RAAF A6-435). First flown 19/11/58 as a V.818 model and delivered to Cubana Airlines as CU-T622. Purchased by Trans Australia Airlines (TAA) on 15/3/62 and converted to V.816 standard. WFU on 28/12/69 but briefly returned to service from 1/3/70 to 4/4/70 before retiring with 21213 hours of flight time. TAA donated the aircraft to the Moorabbin Air Museum in June 1970 but due to lack of space it was stored off site for 17 years before returning to Moorabbin for static display (minus tail).

Canberra A84-226 first flew on October 28, 1955, and was delivered to No 82 Wing on April 24, 1956. It was transferred to No 2 Squadron on July 13, 1971. Approved for disposal on November 19, 1971, but on December 8 of that year it was approved as a training aid for use at RAAF Wagga, New South Wales, where it remained until gifted to the Australian National Aviation Museum by RAAF Heritage in February 2016, and in June of that year it was transported to the Australian National Aviation Museum where it has been restored and is on display. This was the day we rolled out Australia's oldest surviving CAC CA-1 Wirraway to the public on its 75th Anniversary. We were very proud of the restoration and the fact we brought the aircraft back to ground running condition again. Today it is safely undercover and preserved at the ANAM at Moorabbin Victoria.

Served with 42 Squadron RAAF as 'Black Cat' RK-A and took part in a secret, long-range mission to drop mines in Manila harbour in December 1944. Sold and stripped for spares post-war but later converted to a houseboat on the Murray River.

Built by GAF in Australia under licence and delivered on 1 September 1966. Served in various units until allocated to GAF for reduction to spares on 30 September 1986, 20 years and 1 month later! The aircraft was on display at the GAF factory at Fisherman's Bend for some time, then stored at Avalon until acquired by the Moorabbin Air Museum.
