Taken on strength by the RCAF on June 21, 1960, this was the first Canadair built Rolls-Royce Eland powered Cosmopolitan. Converted to a 580 circa 1966, the aircraft specialized in VIP transport. Struck off strength in 1996 and supposedly registered C-FNCI it was stored at Calgary, AB. The aircraft was sold to Las Vegas Aircraft Sales And Leasing as N44A in 2000 but remained stored at Calgary as civil conversion was not cost effective. Ferried to Kelowna, BC circa 2012 with four other Cosmopolitans, the aircraft was later scrapped.

The AN-225 replaced the Myasishchev 3M-T Atlant , two Bison bombers modified to carry rocket boosters and the Soviet space shuttles of the Buran program. First flying December 21, 1988, the aircraft was unveiled to the west at the 1989 Paris Air Show. It's pictured debuting in North America at the 1989 Abbotsford Air Show. The Buran program was cancelled in 1993 and the sole completed Mriya was stored in 1994. Refurbished in 2000, it began a heavy lift freight career in 2001 with Antonov Airlines. It was destroyed at Kyiv - Gostomel airport during the initial Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Part of Trans-Canada Air Lines / Air Canada's fifty-two strong Viscount fleet, CF-TIE was in service March 1959 - April 1973. Stored at Winnipeg, it was among a group acquired by Beaver Enterprises Ltd until sold to two members of the Western Canada Aviation Museum in 1975 for eventual display. Unfortunately, while awaiting a larger museum facility, a fire started by vandals burned the aircraft's interior in April 1980. Another Viscount was acquired (CF-THS) and parts were stripped from TIE to repair THS or sold. The hulk was scrapped in 1989.
